Pastoral Christian Counseling
What is Pastoral Counseling?
Pastoral counseling is a type of counseling that combines therapy with spiritual care. It can help with a wide range of issues like grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, marriage and /or family problems. But what makes it unique is that it also helps with spiritual concerns like questions about your faith and purpose, struggles with forgiveness, guilt, or past issues dealing with spiritual abuse.
It helps people not only cope with pain but also grow in their spiritual life. Pastoral Counseling helps you work through issues while also keeping your faith and values in mind. It’s a place where human faith and human experience connect.
Pastoral Counselors use spiritual resources as well as psychological training to foster healing and growth for their clients. The Counseling is provided by certified and licensed pastoral counselors, who are not only mental health professionals but who have also had in-depth religious and/or theological training.
